Established in 2003, we've been proudly representing our community and making waves in the rugby world ever since.
We’re all about the thrill of competition and the camaraderie of the game. In both the Fall and Spring seasons, you’ll find us locked in intense battles on the field, competing in the traditional 15’s format against tough opponents throughout New England. But we’re not just about serious competition – in the Summer, we switch gears to the Social 7’s circuit, where we embrace the fun and fast-paced action of the shorter format while still showcasing our skills.
Our achievements speak volumes about our dedication and talent. In 2008, we made history with an unforgettable National Title Run, solidifying our place among the elite in American rugby. Along the way, we’ve clinched a handful of NERFU championships, proving time and again that we’re a force to be reckoned with on the pitch.
But it’s not all about the wins and losses – at New London County Rugby, we understand the importance of building bonds both on and off the field. That’s why we make it a priority to come together for weekly in-season post-practice and match team socials, where we celebrate victories, learn from defeats, and strengthen our connections as teammates and friends.
Beyond the rugby pitch, we’re committed to making a positive impact in our community. Each year, we rally together for our annual fundraising events, including the exhilarating Polar Plunge at Ocean Beach, the thrilling Poker Tournament in Niantic, and the competitive Golf Tournament in Groton.
